Dazzling Café: A Wonderland-Inspired Dining Experience

Creating a Dreamland for Foodies

The concept behind Dazzling Café is to make eating a fun and memorable experience. The design team has created a dreamland background that transports customers into the magical world of Wonderland, allowing them to feel like they are the character Alice herself.

The main color scheme of the café is blue and white, which matches Alice's iconic costume. The design incorporates elements from the fairy tale, with rabbit ears chairs that give customers the feeling of dining with Mr. Rabbit nearby. The tablecloths, displays, and floor feature different color codes to enhance the joyful atmosphere.

The café is divided into indoor and outdoor settings. The outdoor area, designed to resemble French streets with open-air tea stands, serves as a prelude to the dreamland inside. The indoor space is where the eating experience takes place, with lively and illusionary atmospheres created specifically to cater to the café's target audience of young ladies.

The design materials used in Dazzling Café include vinyl tile, Corian, marble, wood, paint, and glass. The café spans 2500 square feet and is located at Shop 22, 3/F, The One Mall, 100 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Designers faced the challenge of not only creating a visually appealing space but also ensuring that the dining experience was enjoyable. They believe that diners not only seek delicious food but also a unique and immersive environment. By incorporating elements from "Alice in Wonderland," the design team was able to express their creative thinking and define the café's market positioning.

Dazzling Café's design has been recognized for its creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2016 in the category of Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that showcase outstanding technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements.
